Hmmm... All I can tell you is that in Lebanon's neighboring Israel it is BEYOND easy to be vegan. (It's as if the cuisine had vegans in mind. There are vegan-friendly health food stores around, too.) Judging by Israel and Lebanon having similar climates and thus must have some foods in common, it is feasable that it isn't too hard to be vegan in Lebanon as long as you don't depend too highly on microwavable, already prepared food. Beans you can get anywhere and that will be, worst comes to worst, your method of getting your protein. Bring cookbooks. Perhaps you should travel there prior to moving there? Perhaps discuss the move with anyone that you know who lives there?
Can you satisfy my curiousity and tell me why you may be moving to those places, out of everywhere else in the world? I'd love to know.
To me it sounds a bit odd to want to live in those places. But, I'm sure that you must see some beauty in them or some noble cause to want to move there that I just don't see. Everyone thinks I'm nuts for wanting to move to Israel. :}
Good luck. :}
